About cHEART

cHEART empowers you. It helps you to take control of your health record.

cHEART App keeps your important data e.g. allergies, prescriptions, blood tests, hospital visits, etc. aggregated from your labs and your doctor’s EMR (Electronic Medical Record). Your longitudinal data provides a 360o view of your health and this will help doctors provide a better diagnosis. It also allows you to share your private health information with people important to you, with privacy and security assured.

It is also a useful App to get you in shape. The more you monitor your health, the more points you collect. Points are redeemable at our eco-system partners.

Most importantly, it eliminates your wait-time to see your doctor as you can make an appointment on the App.

Why use cHEART

DATA SECURITY

cHEART is built on BigchainDB, a distributed ledger technology where security is inherent in the system.

There’s a mountain of evidence to show that medical data kept in a centralized database is prone to a data breach. Cases in point, a data breach in 2018 happened to 220,000 Malaysian organ donors and their next-of-kin, 80,000 of private medical information was also stolen from a medical association.

In Singapore, 1.5 million SingHealth patients data including its Prime Minister was stolen in 2018, and in January 2019, 14,000 HIV patients data were exposed detailing their name, address, HIV status, and their next-of-kin.

Storing medical data on a blockchain would address this due to its distributed ledger technology.

DATA PRIVACY

cHEART is designed in compliance with PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act 2010) and GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation) to further protect your privacy.

Built on blockchain technology, the smart contract is designed for you to allow access to any of your private health information to a specific third party within a specific stipulated time. You get to control with whom you wish to disclose your health data.

DATA INTEROPERABILITY

Currently, healthcare providers deploy different types of EMR systems which limit data sharing between them due to non-compatible data structure. This causes our medical record to be kept in a silo across multiple hospitals/clinics we visit when seeking medical care. It makes it difficult for us to access vital information during an emergency or when seeking a second opinion from a different doctor.

By keeping medical records on cHEART, you will be able to keep your longitudinal data to get an accurate diagnosis and better treatment.
